Samsung is one of the companies that provides support for updating the Android operating system older than Huawei. This happened for the second time on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ which are now almost 5 years old.

Previously in May 2021 Samsung did not confirm that they would provide software support for the two phones. Nonetheless, the phone received a security update a few months later in September 2021.

Three months later, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ again received a security update in November 2021. The latest system update for these phones comes with firmware version G95xFXXUCDUK1, according to SamMobile.

As of now, the release of the new Android operating system is only available in France, but that will be making its way to other countries in the coming days.

Samsung debuted the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ using Android 7.0 Nougat. They are updated to Android 8.x Oreo and Android 9.0 Pie.

Since the South Korean tech giant didn’t have an Android 3 update policy at the time, mobile users could not enjoy Android 10 on it.
