Film and TVMorbius Premiere Postponed Again, Sony and MCU Give Reasons

The screening of the latest Marvel film, Morbius, a collaboration between Sony Pictures and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has been postponed again. Morbius will not hit theaters on January 28 due to health safety reasons.

After the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the next film that became the mainstay of Sony and the MCU is Morbius.

Previously, Morbius was set to hit theaters in October 2021. But the release was delayed because the Covid-19 storm is still not them.

The next broadcast schedule is on January 28, 2022. But again the plan was canceled due to the increasing number of cases of the Omicron variant almost all over the world.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morbius’ release schedule has been pushed back to April 1, 2022.

That means Morbius will be competing with other new films that will be released on Easter Sunday. Some of the films expected to hit theaters in April are The Service Provider, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, The Northman, and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Morbius the Living Vampire is directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) from a script written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The film was produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Lucas Foster.

Starring Jared Letto, Morbius tells the story of Dr. Michael Morbius. Since childhood, he has had a blood disorder and was bullied by the people around him.

Uncomfortable with his condition, Morbius tried to treat his illness. But the effort he did brought him to turn into a vampire who has superpowers. Morbius’ life changed completely.
