Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves are collaborating on a new superhero film, The Batman, which is slated to hit theaters Friday, March 4, 2022. Pattinson will play Batman based on the DC Comics character, while Matt Reeves serves as director and co-writer Peter Craig.
Jeffrey Wright and Zoe Kravitz also join Pattinson in The Batman, playing Commissioner James Gordon and Catwoman. Meanwhile, Paul Dano and Colin Farrell become Batman’s enemies in this film, The Riddler and Penguin.
The Batman follows the story of Batman in his early years, as a vigilante who struggles to balance truth and anger while investigating the mysteries that plague and terrorize Gotham. The film was originally scheduled to be released in June 2021, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Synopsis
Two years after living on the streets as the Batman who sparked fear in the hearts of criminals, Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) is plunged into the dark shadows of Gotham City.
The appearance of The Riddler (Paul Dano), a serial killer who viciously kills a number of important elites in the political world in Gotham, forcing Batman to act with only a handful of trusted people, including Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) and Lieutenant James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright).
An investigation into hidden corruption in the city brings Batman together with a variety of new characters, including Selina ‘Catwoman’ Kyle (Zoe Kravitz), Oswald ‘Penguin’ Cobblepot (Colin Farrell), and Carmine Falcone (John Torturo). Even the investigation led him to a big question mark around the possible involvement of his own family.
