The latest Chinese drama series set in the legal world, Lady of Law, is ready to air starting Monday, May 9, 2022, on the CCTV-8 network. This drama, which was directed by Li Jiang Ming, can also be watched online via the live streaming video platform Tencent Videos.
Maggie Jiang Shu Ying, Lu Min Tao, and Peng Yu Chang are lined up as the main players in this 40-episode drama series. A number of other supporting artists who performed included Wang Jin Song, Shi Ming Zhe, KWIN, Gao Xin, and Tao Xin Ran.
As the title suggests, Lady of Law tells the story of two female lawyers who have different styles and thoughts but are united in a case. Lady of Law Storyline
Xu Jie (Jiang Shu Ying) enthusiastically accepts the offer given by Li Gong Ming (Gao Shu Guang) to intern at Mingtang Law Firm. The reason is, the female lawyer is frustrated with her current situation, both at work and emotional relationships, and intends to find a new place to develop a career.
Not only that, the bribery case which was her first assignment was also enthusiastically welcomed by Xu Jie. But she never expected to partner with Chen Ran (Liu Min Tao), another female lawyer at the firm and the daughter of Chen Wen Guang, Li Gong Ming’s colleague who was involved in the bribery case.
Ever since her father was imprisoned, Chen Ran had been secretly investigating the case. Unlike Xu Jie who is still single, Chen Ran is living an unhappy domestic life because her husband always rejects her.
Meanwhile, Xu Jie is secretly in love with Song Xiu (Peng Yu Chang), a fresh graduate. Unfortunately, the relationship falters due to the presence of Xu Jie’s ex-lover, Sun Zhe Wei (Dai Xiang Yu).
In addition to facing problems in love, the cooperation between Xu Jie and Chen Ran did not go smoothly and was often colored by quarrels. The two lawyers can only understand each other after facing various cases together.
As their friendship began to grow, Chen Ran became suspicious again after finding out the real reason for Xu Jie’s arrival. But the problems that came repeatedly to the law firm made them unavoidable and had to work together to conduct an investigation, so that they finally found out the truth of the bribery case.
