The Roundup (The Outlaws 2) Storyline
After the sweeping operation in the Garibong area, the Geumcheon Police’s Major Crimes Unit gets a new mission. This time, Detective Ma Seok Do (Ma Dong Seok) and Captain Jeon Il Man (Choi Gwi Hwa) head to Vietnam, in search of a Korean runaway criminal who fled there. However, after the runaway easily surrenders, they realize that their mission is not over.
When Ma Seok Dong and his team discover gruesome murder cases, they track down the culprit and find Kang Hae Sang (Son Seok Koo) at the end of the thread. A dangerous criminal, Kang Hae Sang continues his killings regardless of national borders. Ma Seok Dong and his comrades follow in the bloody footsteps of Kang Hae Sang, determined to bring him to justice.

Gilgamesh, I mean Ma Dong-seok, and his incomparable vigor is the star of this devilishly entertaining action-thriller-comedy. The plot might tad shaky in its focus, but the film never strays in delivering its ravishing thrills. (28 May 2022)
Overall, if you like The Outlaws, you will definitely like this movie too but don’t expect anything groundbreaking although some may like The Roundup even more than The Outlaws. And since it’s been reported that a third installment is in the works, hopefully we will not have to wait as long for the sequel. (22 May 2022).
