This 12-episode drama also known as ‘Zhang Wei Guo De Xia Tian’ basically depicts the crisis of midlife from a male point of view. Guo’s Summer Storyline
In the midst of a life that feels ‘safe’, Zhang Wei Guo (Huang Lei) suddenly has to face various problems after his father died suddenly. This middle-aged man who lives in Beijing Hutong never imagined that in a short time he would become rich and then fall into poverty and fall into debt.
Problem after problem made Zhang Wei Guo realize that he had not achieved anything in the first half of his life. Therefore Zhang Wei Guo decided to challenge himself to change for the better.
But in the process, his success in reaching the peak actually made him lose his identity. Luckily, there are family and friends who continue to guide Zhang Wei Guo through these critical moments.
One of them is Lin Hong Nian (Liu Yi Jun), Zhang Wei Guo’s best friend since childhood.
