The romantic story that exists between two figures with opposite characters is present in the Chinese drama series ‘Farewell Vivian’. The drama, which is scheduled to start airing on Monday, July 25, 2022, can be watched online through the live streaming video platform Tencent Video (WeTV).
Farewell Vivian, also known as Gao Bie Wei An, is adapted from the popular novel of the same name by renowned author Annie Baobei. The novel which consists of a collection of short stories is even sold up to half a million copies.
In order to prepare for this drama, the production team took five years to adapt it well into the script. The selection of the main players was carefully considered until Jin Xi was chosen to play the character of a free-spirited girl Chen An An and Hong Jun Jia as Lin Yu, a young man whose life is very scheduled.

Farewell Vivian Storyline
Lin Yu (Hong Jun Jia), a young man whose life is very planned, can’t do anything when he has to sit at the same table with Chen An An (Jin Xi) in class. Even though the free-spirited girl had a personality that was completely opposite to him, Lin Yu was able to enjoy their time together in high school.
After eight years apart, Lin Yu and Chen An An unexpectedly met again. They didn’t just meet, they ended up living under the same roof.
Neither Lin Yu nor Chen An An ever realized that they had actually never truly been apart. There was a ‘fate’ named ‘Vivian’ that had connected their hearts since eight years ago.
The presence of ‘Vivian’ fostered feelings of love between Lin Yu and Chen An An. But in the end they had to say goodbye to ‘Vivian’ in order to find a better version of themselves.
