Samsung Galaxy S23: The size difference to the S22 revealed

SciTechSamsung Galaxy S23: The size difference to the S22 revealed

Samsung plans not to change the form factor of its high-end Galaxy S23 smartphone too much in 2023.

Some angry heads are used to saying that smartphones of another generation still look very similar. And it’s not the iPhone 14 that will prove them wrong. Still the future Samsung Galaxy S23 according to the Leaker Ice Universe on his account Weibo.

Specializing in leaks surrounding the Korean brand that Leaker claims to have gotten his hands on the dimensions of future high-end Samsung smartphones. You have to get up early to see the difference.

A matter of millimeters

Let’s start with the smallest of the three. The Galaxy S23 is reportedly 146.3 cm tall, which is 0.3 mm larger than its predecessor. The same goes for the 70.9mm width, while the thickness shouldn’t vary. Does Samsung reflect this approx. 0.3 mm in the edges of the screen? Hard to say for sure at the moment. The screen would remain at a 6.1-inch Full HD+ format.

For its part, the S23 Plus, with its 6.6-inch Full HD+ screen, sees all dimensions edge to edge. We’d go from 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.64mm for the S22 Plus to 157.8 x 76.2 x 7.6mm, a difference of 0.4 x 0.4 x -0.04mm for every dimension. In any case, it shouldn’t be obvious.

The S23 Ultra might be the one that deviates the least from its predecessor. It would gain just 0.1mm in height at 163.4mm and 0.2mm in width at 78.1mm. The 8.9mm thickness would be retained. The very rectangular form factor of last year should logically be retained. Samsung didn’t enjoy merging its Note and Galaxy lines to bring out just one descendant of that union.
